To add on to my topic of social networking being a waste of time i would like to discusses the article Dustin and Justin's quest for flow. this article talks about Dustin and Justin two of the original members of the Facebook team. Even though Facebook is one of the biggest time wasters in the world both these men hate inefficiency. They both left the company so that they could start a knew one where they are developing a program called Asana that is suppose to make time management easier. Ironically the program is developed in the style of Facebook. it has a news feed it keeps track of information on certain groups and projects it even has a instant chat system so coworkers can get instant feed back from each other. apparently studies show that this system is very effective and increases productivity in workers. it seems strange that a couple changes and can change the biggest time waster into a time saver. i feel the most important thing is that the content is different on Asana compared to Facebook its not useless information its someones work. this makes it impossible for someone to blindly search through other peoples accounts they can only do their jobs. the next important thing is the people who are using it they are older more mature adults in the working world. this being so i do not find it fair to say that these two men have completely changed the working world and made the corporate Facebook but i do find it cool that they went from one extreme to the other
